A good humoured battle of the sexes is raging at Poole based accountants Inspire. The competition, all in the aid of charity, will reach its climax on Sunday 11th May when the girls will take part in the Race for Life whilst the boys participate in the Hearts First Bike Ride.
"We've taken part in the Race for Life before" said Kathryn Sutcliffe, captain of the girls, "but this year we thought it would be good to add an element of competition; so we threw down the gauntlet to the boys and challenged them to find another event and raise more money than us"
Robin Witt, captain of the boys, said "We're a competitive bunch and when the girls challenged us, our pride wouldn't let us say no, so we found an event on the same day and intend to raise more for the British Heart Foundation than the girls will for Cancer Research"
"Whatever the result, the real winners will be the two charities", said Warren Munson MD of Inspire "and since family commitments have prevented me from being able to take part this year, I'm going to put my hand in my pocket and give £100 to the charity of the winning team!"
