The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (furlough) has been extended until 30 September 2021.
The government will continue to pay 80% of employees’ usual wages for the hours not worked, capped at £2,500 per month, with employers still having to fund employer’s National Insurance and pension contributions until the end of June.
In July, employers will have to contribute 10% towards the hours their staff don’t work. For August and September, this contribution will increase to 20%.
Claims must now be submitted via the government’s portal 14 calendar days after the period that you’re claiming for.
