Sustainable Innovation Fund opens for applications

The government’s new £200m Sustainable Innovation Fund is now open for applications.  UK registered businesses who need support to keep their technology-focused projects going can apply for the funding – it is designed to focus on a sustainable economic recovery from Covid-19.

Funding is via Innovate UK and is designed to fund single and collaborative research and development projects.  All projects must be led by a business and include at least one SME.  Projects must be ready to start by 1 October 2020, they can last between three and nine months.

The Sustainable Innovation Fund forms part of the £750m package of grants and loans announced in April to support innovation firms, and sits alongside the Future Fund.

First round of applications closes on 29 July 2020.

Details of how to apply can be found here.
