This was a company willing to take risks, and we were excited to be the ones to ensure they paid off.
Founded in 1994, we were brought on board in 2008 to help them grow their £1.2m turnover. Eight years on, and revenue has reached £8m. This bold growth has been achieved through extremely personalised support and a shared desire to create an exciting and successful brand that just keeps getting it right.
Specifically, we instigated the restructuring of the business, advising the client to bring back manufacturing to the UK, which ultimately increased margins. We’ve also provided FD on-demand services, vital tax advice, business coaching, support in raising significant new debt funding to assist growth, guidance with exiting minority shareholders and overall strategy for the business.
Muc-Off’s MD, Alex Trimnell, is just as quirky as his brand name suggests, and we feel privileged to be his go-to sounding board. Never one to rest on his laurels, Alex’s five-year plan is to grow the business from £8m to £15m – a brave target that we’re excited to work towards.
