Alicia Greenfield – Accounts & Audit Trainee
Alicia joins Inspire as a new Accounts & Audit Trainee. She graduated from university with a second upper class degree in accounting and taxation. She is currently studying towards her ACCA qualification. Working in the Accounts and Audit team, Alicia assists on audits as well as doing bookkeeping for clients and preparing statutory accounts.
Alicia loves holidays and travelling, her favourite trip was when she travelled around Thailand and Vietnam. She loves to keep fit and attends the gym regularly.
Tom Murphy – Accounts & Audit Trainee
Tom joins Inspire as a member of the Accounts and Audit team. He is currently completing a 40 week placement as part of his degree in Accounting & Finance at Bournemouth University. Inspire are currently moving to a new software to improve efficiency, and part of Tom’s role is to provide support during this transition. His role involves transferring client information within Digita into Caseware. He also provides assitance within the audit and accounts department. by preparing financial statements and conducting audits.
In his spare time, Tom plays golf for the Bournemouth University Golf team. He played 72 holes of golf in one day to raise money for the charity, Help for Heroes. Tom supports Arsenal FC and has watched them win the FA cup at Wembley.
Benjamin – Personal Tax Senior
Ellen joins the Inspire Personal Tax team, having previously worked for a large national firm of accountants. She specialises in personal tax compliance for a variety of clients, including owner-managed businesses and high net worth individuals. She also has experience in advising businesses in respect of their VAT compliance with a particular interest in overseas VAT matters.
Ellen studied Law at University and is a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians. She hopes to commence study towards the CTA qualification next year.
Outside of work Ellen enjoys both playing and watching sport and plays for local netball and football teams. She also likes to jet off to Abu Dhabi at least once a year to top up her tan (and visit her brother!). Ellen is an avid viewer of Formula 1 (despite knowing nothing about cars) and saw Lewis Hamilton become World Champion in Abu Dhabi in November 2014. Along with her football teammates, Ellen has joined the annual tradition of taking part in Tough Mudder (a 10-12 mile military-style obstacle course).
Grace Lee – Accounts & Audit Senior
Grace joins the Accounts & Audit team as a new Senior member. Her role includes preparing year end accounts and undertaking audits for clients. She is an ACCA affiliate and is working towards becoming a Chartered Certified Accountant.
Before Inspire, Grace gained extensive experience in sales and marketing whilst working in Malaysia and Singapore. In her spare time, Grace enjoys travelling and exploring different cultures as well as playing computer games, running and pilates.
Graces has travelled to 37 countries. Her most memorable was in Outer Mongolia where she experience living like a nomad for eight days.
Katie Taylor – Business & Tax Adviser
Katie has joined Inspire as a new member of the advisory team. Katie obtained an upper second class degree in Law specialising in Taxation. Since university, Katie qualified as Chartered Accountant (ACA) in a large accountancy practice in London working in the financial services sector, predominately on private equity transactions and corporate mergers and acquisitions. Katie also went on secondment to the personal tax team focusing on overseas individuals.
She then went on to work in-house at a small investment company where she assisted investors and group companies on their corporate and personal taxation issues, as well as managing and overseeing the individual investment funds. Katie’s role is to provide high quality tax and business advice to both corporates and individuals.
Katie likes to keep active and enjoys most sport, but in particular loves golf (although is not as good as she’d like to be!). She is also a keen traveller and has visited over 40 countries in the last 10 years.
