Starting on Thursday 22nd August, Ben Mann, a member of our Accounts & Audit team, along with his family and close family friends, will set out on an ambitious journey; to cycle from Central London to Paris in just four days.
The family were inspired to undertake this journey in memory of Ben’s sister Katie, who lost her life to epilepsy in 2012. In her memory they have tasked themselves with a tough challenge, but one that will bring her family and friends together and will help others battling epilepsy, through sponsorship raised for the charity Epilepsy Action.
Epilepsy Action work not only to support those with epilepsy, but also to improve the quality and availability of this support. They fund research into epilepsy and also aim to alter public perceptions of the condition. If you would like to sponsor the To Paris with Kate team, then simply visit the ToParisWithKate webpage. This site will also help you to get to know the team a little better, as they share what aspects of the trip they’re excited and worried about, in addition to providing information on their intended route.
If you’d like to know how they are getting on in real-time, with their training and once they have set out from Blackheath Common on Thursday, they will be posting regular updates and photos on Twitter. They are @ToPariswithKate.
At Inspire, we’re all wishing the whole team the very best of luck and will be eagerly following their trials and tribulations over the weekend.
